Our first vacation activity was driving out to see the kids in their piano recital! I had been broken-hearted because I thought we were to miss it, but luck was with us. We got the time and we arrived in Utah soon enough to go.
Teh Boy had been flown out and then we drove. It was pretty uneventful, which was good. We made excellent time and only got a little scared in a nasty snowy area. I was kind of dumb, left in a short sleeve shirt, capris, and flip-flops. When we stopped for a break in Utah, near the end of the trip, I was DYING - sure I'd kept a hoody available, but uh, bare feet and ankles in teh snow is no fun. My blood must have thinned a lot more than I thought it had.

Dannea and Monica flew out for Christmas and it was also Kaleb's year to spend with us, so we had my ENTIRE family there. It was amazing watching Monica with all the kids. It was her first time meeting them, I think. They loved her!

Braxton playing "Jingle Bells" by Pierpont.

Taylor playing "Up on the Housetop" by Hanby.

Kylie playing "Silent Night" by Gruber.

I'm in there somewhere. Love this picture.

After the beautiful performances, 19 pieces, there were cookies! Frosting and sprinkle topped sugar cookies and ginger snaps, I think. I thought ginger snaps were called such because they 'snap' but these didn't... so I dunno. Either way, they were goooood.

And thus began the cookie eating faces... and pink teeth.

Finger-lickin'-good. And a shiner to boot. Poor girl. She got it from heads-colliding action with Sarah.

I'm glad you got here in time to go to the recital! Very cool that they are in piano. I wish I would have taken lessons for longer. Cute cookie faces pics!
